Kathy T. Nelson - Executive Coach

Kathy Tayntor Nelson brings world class expertise in leadership and executive coaching to her work as an executive coach and facilitator.  Her focus is working with individuals and teams to achieve leadership capability to drive outstanding business results. She has worked in a variety of business industries customizing programs to maximize organizational and individual potential to attain strategic objectives.

She has a talent for understanding and dissecting complex organizational problems and the internal politics that frequently accompany them.  Her approach is both empathetic and motivational, enabling her to communicate these dynamics effectively while promoting decisive action toward greater effectiveness and performance.

Her coaching expertise includes helping leaders to become more self aware, manage their emotions and behavior in positive ways, develop an increased social awareness of others and organizational dynamics, and improve interpersonal relationship skills. Kathy has worked with executives on improving self-esteem and confidence, executive presence and presentation, anger and stress management, understanding organizational politics, negotiation skills, leading change, team building, career change, and inspirational leadership.

Coaching teams, Kathy guides groups to explore the intricacies of their interactions and how to capitalize on each other’s strengths.  The teams learn to harness the power of effective team communication and process to create positive and productive results. 

Kathy started out in the Boston advertising industry then moved to Colorado where for 10 years she worked for a consulting firm and offered coaching & development to 150 staff globally.  She is well versed in international logistics and the cross-cultural issues that can challenge employee performance in many areas of the world.  Kathy has a deep understanding of the challenges and insecurities faced in demanding, fast paced, career environments.
